Hints of May: 70 Saturday, more consistent warmth after May 12?
I keep scanning the weather maps for the season formerly known as spring. I may have found it.
Temperatures gradually nudge higher for the next 3 days. Temperatures top out in the 60s to around 70 Saturday. Then we bounce around in the 60s most of next week.
Milder around May 12?
Meteorologists look to larger upper-air patterns for temperatures trends. A ridge of high pressure appears to finally be ready to bring in more sustained warmth to the Upper Midwest between May 12-15.

I look at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Global Forecast System 16-day temperature output more for trends than absolute values. More consistent highs in the 70s and possibly a run at 80 degrees seem reasonable in about 12 days.
