Cooling trend; Sunday winter storm for southern Iowa and parts of Illinois and SE Wisconsin
On average, November is our cloudiest month of the year in the Twin Cities metro area.
A quick check of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport stats for Nov. 2018 shows that we've only seen three days with mostly sunny skies.
Our Saturday will be another mostly cloudy day.

Our Saturday highs happened around midnight, and many parts of Minnesota will see slowly falling temps during the daylight hours.
Sunday highs will be mostly in the 20s, with some teens to the north:
Twin Cities metro area highs will probably only reach the lower 20s on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Metro area highs could rebound to the upper 20s Wednesday and to around 30 on Thursday.
Rain and snow
Northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin will have a mix of rain and snow this Saturday. The Twin Cities metro area could see a bit of drizzle and a passing sprinkle or flurry.

Iowa is bracing for a winter storm on Sunday. The storm will also affect parts of northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern Saturday evening through Sunday evening:

The heaviest snow is expected to fall in southern Iowa on Sunday:
The yellow-shaded area indicates the potential for 6 to 8 inches of snow.
Winter storm warnings are in effect from 3 a.m. Sunday to midnight Sunday night in much of southern Iowa:
Winter weather advisories are in effect on Sunday from Omaha, Nebraska to Dubuque, Iowa.
