Cooling trend; Sunday snowstorm potential in Iowa and southeast Wisconsin
Our Friday afternoon high temp at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 46 degrees.
That was 9 degrees warmer than our average Nov. 23 high temp in the Twin Cities metro area and it was our "warmest" metro area high temp since Nov. 3.
It was breezy, so it probably felt a bit cooler than 46 degrees.
Temps will be cooler this weekend.

Temperature trends
Daytime highs are expected to be in the 30s in about the southeastern half of Minnesota on Saturday, with 20s in roughly the northwestern half of our favorite state:
We'll see highs in the 20s across most of Minnesota on Sunday, with some teens in the far north:
Twin Cities metro area highs will probably only reach the lower 20s on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Rain and snow chances
Rain will continue through this Friday evening and into Friday night in much of eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
The rain might mix with snow over northeastern Minnesota late Friday evening, then it could change to all snow in that area overnight.
In the Twin Cities metro area, we could see a few snowflakes mix with the rain late in the overnight hours.
The snow in parts of northeastern Minnesota lingers into Saturday morning, with 1 to 2 inches possible in a few spots:
The Twin Cities metro area will have a chance of a Saturday morning sprinkle or flurry.
