The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin, including the Twin Cities.

The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
northern Iowa
central and southern Minnesota
northwest Wisconsin
Lake Superior
* Effective this Monday afternoon and evening from 255 PM until
1000 PM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Widespread damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
to 75 mph possible
Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Storms are expected to continue developing over the upper
Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes region this afternoon and
evening, eventually evolving into an organized MCS capable of
numerous instances of damaging wind and a couple of tornadoes.
