A cold and windy afternoon; cold and sunny on Sunday
The snow is over, but cold air will stay with us through the weekend.
Our Saturday afternoon will be windy, and a wind advisory continues until 1 p.m. Saturday in much of southern Minnesota:
Winds around 30 mph are expected in the advisory area, and winds could gust above 40 mph at times.

Most of us aren't amused by snow in late March, but it did happen.
The official snowfall total at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport from Friday night into this morning was 2.8 inches.
Downtown Minneapolis reported 2 inches of snow, and Stillwater had 4 inches.
Reports received as of mid-morning included 5 inches in East Bethel and 6 inches in St. Cloud.
Some of the higher snow amounts included 12.8 inches in Bruno (Pine county), 11 inches in Isle and 10 inches in Little Falls and Brainerd.
The National Weather Service will post additional snow totals as they come in.

Some roads could still be slick this afternoon.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation will have road condition updates.
A quiet but cold Sunday
Winds will be much lighter on Sunday, and we'll have plenty of sunshine.
Temperatures early Sunday morning could be in the single digits in far northern Minnesota, with mostly teens elsewhere.
Sunday afternoon highs will range from the 20s north to 30s in the south:
Our average high in the Twin Cities metro area is 50 degrees on April 1.
We'll be well below that this April 1!
Highs in the Twin Cities are expected to be in the 30s this coming week.
Another storm Monday into Tuesday
A batch of snow could move into central and northern Minnesota on Monday, then expand to cover most of Minnesota Monday evening into Tuesday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's North American Mesoscale forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern Monday through Tuesday:
There could be a mix of rain and snow at times in the Twin Cities metro area and southeastern Minnesota.
