Soaking rains north, trending cool into next week

Northern soaker

Steady to intense rainfall today added up fast over much of central and northern Minnesota. Doppler storm total rainfall shows multi-inch totals from the Brainerd Lakes area through Mille Lacs, Hinckley and north along Highway 169 toward Grand Rapids.

More widespread but lighter rainfall totals also painted much of Minnesota as of this morning.
