Tracking the snow for southern Minnesota

Snow will be increasing in coverage this morning and fall at varying intensities today and this evening in southern Minnesota.

A winter weather advisory has been posted for about the southern third of the state. Snowfall could reach 4 inches later today.todaysnow

Be cautious when traveling today.  Drive with headlights on when encountering snowfall. Watch for changeable road conditions.


Cold air remains in place for your Saturday, but winds will be on the light side.


High temperatures on Sunday are expected to be around 15 degrees below normal.

Blustery winds will drive more arctic air into the upper Midwest on Monday.  Wind chill readings on Monday are likely to be well below zero.

    Today’s high temperatures will be more on the order of 20 degrees below the thirty year average. The normal high temperature for MSP for November 16th is 41 degrees. But isn’t it lovely!
