Thunderstorms redeveloped over portions of west central Wisconsin this afternoon. At the same time a chilly day set in over northern Minnesota, with spotty showers. Temperatures were in the middle 50s in the Arrowhead region at mid afternoon.

let's not play up the chilly weather for the weekend, but accept it as a nice change of pace as we transition out of the meteorological summer, which ends August 31st.

Your high temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will be about eight to ten degrees cooler than normal. Sunday afternoon should feel comfortable with sunshine and light winds. Evenings will be ideal for sharing stories around a camp fire.
