Summit Brewing gets a face lift

Summit Brewing has added more hops to its look since the original 1986 logo, now it has given the entire product line a face lift. It is the latest in a series of moves by the company to try and keep pace with the wave of new craft beers.

The updated image follows a significant expansion by the brewery which doubles annual capacity to 240,000 barrels.

The new design draws heavily upon regional landscape, landmarks and agricultural themes. The regional focus reflects Summit President Mark Stutrud's strategy for his brewery.

“There was a time several decades ago where Minnesota breweries had the majority of the share of the statewide beer market,” he said. “I’m confident we are heading back that direction.”
