Painter Scott Nedrelow's latest exhibition, "Afterlight," hangs at the David Petersen Gallery in Minneapolis through April 5. Artist, curator and writer Nathaniel Smith says it made him think deeply about how our eyes perceive light. Nedrelow uses photographic materials to paint extremely subtle images on large scale photographic paper.

Dancer, choreographer and art teacher Anat Shinar applauds the Minneapolis dance company Black Label Movement for using dance to investigate a spectrum of topic areas and ideas. It's upcoming concert at the Cowles Center in Minneapolis features the world premiere of a new work inspired by bees, entitled "Hive." Mar. 27-29 at 8 p.m.
