Super Bowl XLVII: MORE Super!

In case there was any smidgen -- any iota -- of football happenings left to be packed into the week before the Feb. 3 Super Bowl, the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority decided to get into the Super Week act: They're pushing off their decision about who should build the new Vikings stadium until Feb. 1, a week later than the previously announced Jan. 25 deadline.

Chairwoman Michel Kelm-Helgen says that several contenders have asked for a little more time to get their affairs in order and submit a proposal to the MSFA. She said today that it shouldn't delay the expected October groundbreaking or the spring unveiling of the final design.
