Video: How physicists competed in their physics slam

For those who couldn't make last month's "Physics Slam on Ice" at the University of Minnesota, here's a video of the show.

It's no circus, but it's not all equations, charts and graphs, either. It has a little Homer Simpson, a little Sound of Music -- and even an evil penguin conspiracy. (Vladimir Savinov of the University of Pittsburgh hams it up wonderfully in that last schtick, which won him the prize.)

As Yale competitor Sarah Demers told the Ridder Arena audience:

"It's not rocket science."
