Well-regarded Twin Cities higher-education marketing executive John Lawlor of The Lawlor Group has come up with five trends to watch in 2012:

  1. College is becoming unaffordable.
  2. Consumers are demanding results.
  3. Social media is normalizing transparency.
  4. Competition is breeding commodification.
