The flier causing a minor commotion at St. Thomas

"(The flier) is kind of disgusting. It has gone to a level of bad taste even if you approved of the notion. . . . When I see them, I take them down. ... I think that we, as a Catholic institution, have to live up to what the basic teachings are, and the teachings of the Catholic church are that artificial insemination is beneath the level of appropriate means of procreation.”

-- The Rev. John Malone, vice president of the Office for Mission at the University of St. Thomas, in a TommieMedia article on fliers advertising sperm donation that recently appeared on campus.

The student news service says the fliers have been controversial, and Malone told the service he wants to propose a system for approving ads that appear in St. Thomas buildings.
