Judge upholds verdict against blogger who was critical of U employee

"(It's) a dark day for the First Amendment."

Minneapolis blogger John "Johnny Northside" Hoff on a Hennepin County judge's ruling that a jury's $60,000 verdict against him must stand.  

Hoff's blog had linked former community leader Jerry Moore, a University of Minnesota employee at the time, to a high-profile mortgage fraud, which prompted the U to fire Moore. The post was accurate, and Hoff took credit for the man's dismissal.
