U of Minnesota tuition rally today

Today's the day that University of Minnesota students -- and President Bob Bruininks -- will take a swing at tuition, rallying at noon today to get the legislature to maintain support for state spending on higher ed.

The Associated Press reports that more than 300 U students from throughout the state are expected, and should be hearing from speakers Gov. Mark Dayton, U.S Rep. Keith Ellison and state Sen. David Senjem.

Also today, Bruininks is slated to speak to the House's higher education committee about the budget and higher education.
