State students to rally at Capitol next month
London tuition riots these won't be.But students in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system (those at both two-year and four-year institutions) have rising tuition on their minds as they gear up for Rally Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, Feb. 16.
The theme this year is "S.T.O.P. -- Student Tuition is Overpriced."
They'll march from Saint Paul College to the capitol at 11 a.m. and rally from 11:30 to 12:30., followed by a light lunch at Saint Paul College. They'll also try to meet with individual legislators during the afternoon. (More details here, and the clip above is from 2007, just to give you a taste.)
Sounds positively civilized -- even for Prince Charles.
