If the breadth of alumni giving equals love, then Carleton College is the second most-loved college in the U.S. according to data from US News & World Report.
More than six in 10 alumni give money to the school, the magazine reports. The rankings do not factor in the size of the gift, however.
The magazine points out that all the top schools are private.
