After winning World Series, a blown big moment

You had one job.

But we like the spunk of the person trying to use a leaf blower to unveil the World Series Championship banner during Opening Day ceremonies in Houston last evening.

During the same ceremonies, we learned there is crying in baseball.

I have had a subdural hematoma, and I can tell you it was no fun. For me, it started as an earache on Sunday. As the week went on, I experienced brutal headaches. Finally, went to the emergency room and had a CT scan. A while later a doctor said that he saw that I had previously had a subdural hematoma, but saw that I didn’t need a cane and was wondering about that. When I recovered, I didn’t realize how much worse it could have been.

It was obviously left to the grounds crew to trigger the unveiling because the tool that worked was a long handled tree saw.

It seems to me that when they made Minute-Maid park (or Enron Field for the old timers) they obviously didn’t think that there would be many unveilings or they would have put ladders on both sides of that tower. 8^)

I especially like the looks on the players’ faces: trying not to burst out laughing.

I see what you did there (blown moment?).
