When their bus got stuck, women’s basketball team pushed on

We can think of no better symbol for International Women’s Day than this delightful video courtesy of the Northeastern University women’s basketball team.

Their bus got stuck in the snow during a blizzard yesterday in Philadelphia.

No problem. They’re women. Women handle stuff. Consider it handled.

“We were kind of like, ‘Oh dear, Oh God, we’re going to be stuck here. We’re going to have to call for a new bus or get towed or something,” sophomore shooting guard Shannon Todd tells the Boston Globe.

Someone joked about pushing the bus.

Then they had an idea: let’s push the bus.

“The whole season has been about just getting the job done anyway that we can do it. That’s basically what we did with pushing this bus today,” she said.

A bus company named Yankee? In Boston?

I wasn’t sure if there was an “e” under the snow.
I bet that some over-served Bostonian’s with poor reading skills wouldn’t care if it was missing an E.
