Duckling rescue season begins

The “cops rescuing ducklings” season is officially underway with yesterday’s rescue of a squadron from a storm sewer in St. Louis Park, where the police department reported the details on its Facebook page.

Officers Capobianco, Boies, and Heffernan, along with Community Service Officer Swanson, had their hands full conducting a rescue mission Sunday afternoon. Some curious little ducklings decided to go exploring away from their mother and quickly found themselves in trouble. Our little explorers dropped down into the storm sewer with no way out. Officer Capobianco went into the storm sewer and handed the ducklings out to her partners. All our little explorers were recovered and reunited with momma duck.
