Here’s 48 minutes of ice stacking on Lake Superior

Take one big lake, add some warm temperatures, and finish it off with wind and, voila! You’ve got a show.

It’s ice-stacking season on Lake Superior and you’re either into this phenomenon or you’re not. It can be the marine version of watching paint dry.

    Used to watch something similar in Grand Traverse Bay when growing up. Then when the ice was piled up we’d hike out to the edge.
