When John Glenn met Charles Lindbergh

Having just worked my way through Scott Berg’s long biography of Charles Lindbergh, and being a huge fan of John Glenn since I was a boy, Bill Flanagan’s commentary (transcript) on Glenn (and Lindbergh) this morning was particularly riveting.

It started when Glenn’s daughter, a St. Paul resident, asked if Flanagan would mind saying hello to her parents.

Imagine how humble the DNA must run in the Glenn family to ask the question that way.
