Timewasters: To be a kid in the summer

From the “because it’s Friday, that’s why” file:

I’m going to post this and someone is going to post that you shouldn’t jump off highway bridges into a river and they’re probably right. Someone is going to post, you shouldn’t jump off bridges into a river with a self-stick and they’re probably right, too.

Someone else is going to post that youth is wasted on the young, they wish they could turn back time, and there’s nothing better than being a kid in the summer while the old crumbs go off to work.

They’re right.

  • Yeah, that’s kind of dangerous…

    /Guess I’m THAT guy…

  • Robert Moffitt

    Keeps ’em from smoking.

    • Jerry

I thought that was your job

  • Gary F

And then stop at Dairy Queen.

  • Veronica

Did they use a drone to film it? I hope it’s licensed!

    (Sarcasm)

    • Kassie

We had a drone fly over us on a beach on Lake Superior last weekend. Hoping I don’t end up in a video making fun of too fat, too pasty white beach goers…

      • Jerry

He was a drone operator. I doubt he was in any position to judge.

  • The smiley face on the bridge was a classic touch….if you’re familiar with that whole thing.

    • Kassie

I didn’t see it, but if we are thinking the same thing, that’s creepy.

I really liked the woman who could actually dive. She must have been on a diving team and was really good.

  • Mike Worcester

And someone will post that they are amazed they made it out of their childhood without doing more damage to themselves than they did. (Not me though, not at all…… 🙂 )

  • MikeB

I still appreciate the scars on my knees and elbows from tearing around on a bike in a small town 40 years ago

  • Jack

Loved the quote at the very end – very, very true. Oh to be young and carefree again.
