Navy vet, 85, checks ‘learn to tap dance’ off bucket list

Here’s your daily dose of sweetness.

Arne Mayala, 85, of Forest Lake, has a bucket list.

There’s something the Navy veteran always wanted to do, KARE 11’s Boyd Huppert says.

He wanted to learn how to tap dance.

So even though he’d fallen earlier in the day and wasn’t feeling well, he walked into a dance studio and asked for a lesson.

“I was always amazed by those old movies and the kind of dancing that those guys could do,” he told Forest Lake Times. “For years, I kept telling myself that one day I would learn. Then I turned 85 and my wife kinda pushed me into giving it a go.”

“My plan is to keep working hard and see where this adventure takes me,” he told the paper.
