Springsteen, Keillor, Hamilton pay tribute to Prince

There’ve been plenty of rock acts singing Purple Rain over the last couple of days. On Saturday night at Barclay Center in Brooklyn, Bruce Springsteen walked out to start his concert and didn’t say a word before launching into Prince’s signature song.

Springsteen usually opens his show with Meet Me in the City.

“Whenever I saw Prince, I left the show humbled,” Springsteen said. “Prince Forever. God bless.”

Meanwhile, on Friday night, the cast of Hamilton paid tribute…

And on Saturday night, A Prairie Home Companion joined in. Big shock: Keillor nailed it in a way we hadn’t seen since he previously consoled a grieving state in 2002.
