Man quits job to help a stranger walk again

Not sure about you, but I didn’t quit my job this week so that I could help someone I don’t know.

That’s something Eugene Yoon did, CBS’ Steve Hartman says.

This happened earlier this year, apparently, and it shows what happens when some threads are sewn by casual acquaintances on social media.

Yoon learned of Arthur Renowitzky,28, from Renowitzky’s social media posts after he was shot and paralyzed in a mugging.

Yoon was motivated to find someone to help after watching an Ellen Degeneres show in which she told people to “be kind to one another,” advice she gives on every show.

The story first got media attention when Ronowitzky walked last month.
