Braden Gandee, of Temperance, Mich., was born at 32 weeks with cerebral palsy. He can’t walk.

So his brother, Hunter, carries him on his back. Everywhere.

“Having Braden on my back symbolizes the relationship we have and the power we have when people come together,” Hunter tells Sports Illustrated, which has just named him its high school athlete of the month. “If all people come together and are as close as we are, we can accomplish great things.”
