Oregon woman sues restaurant for not providing take-out

Even if we didn’t enjoy reading legal briefs and court decisions, we’d probably be able to curl up with Portland, Oregon resident Kathleen Hampton’s lawsuit against a restaurant.

Her brief — she’s representing herself — is seeking $100,000 because the restaurant was mean to her.

She says she made a reservation for two on Valentine’s Day, but her husband bailed, and when the restaurant told her she had to give up her table, she asked to get her food to go. The restaurant refused, according to The Oregonian.

She wants $100,000 and a public apology.

“She made areservation for two and when she got there, said ‘oh just by myself,’” Lanzadoro said. “We offered for her to sit at the bar with other single diners since Valentine’s Day is very busy and all we know is she got up [from the table] and left without paying after she drank two glasses of wine.”
