Lynchburg derailment by drone

And we have yet another case of the news media ignoring the law and flying drones over news stories.

This time it was the oil train derailment in Lynchburg. A drone operator flew over the scene and gave or sold the video to KSET. The minute that happened, it technically became illegal. As mentioned yesterday, the FAA is dreaming if it thinks it can keep up with the expansion of drone journalism.

And I was silly to think I was saving some money to buy the old cool vintage car.

As someone who doesn’t fly real or model planes I have a question. Does the FAA regulate RC model planes? If not how is a quad-copter different?
