The new voice of NPR

The new voice of NPR is Sabrina Farhi.

She was named by execs to replace long-time announcer Frank Tavares, as the network’s official voice for underwriting announcements starting in November.

Here’s her self-introduction.

  • David

I think I’ll miss Tavares pushing pajamas this holiday season.

  • Sonya Burke

I may go crazy with the slight vocal fry that she has at the end of some words. WHY do people do that?

  • Randy

Vocal fry much? It’s like listening to a Kardashian.

  • Linda

horrid voice. Sounds like it may be someone at NPR’s granddaughter. They could have done so much better. We use our mute button a lot now which is a shame.
