Why wouldn’t you use shotgun shells for prom dress buttons?

Is it too early to name David Herron father of the year?

His daughter Mariah Herron of Marshfield, Wis. wanted a prom dress that reflected her love of the outdoors. The hunting-style camo dress her dad ended up sewing for her certainly fits the bill.

Like a good father, he didn’t take the credit:

“Mariah and I went to Hancock Fabrics and started looking at fabric and patterns. If it hadn’t been for the ladies that work there, we would have walked out and that would have been the end of this,” David said.

But it’s certainly a hit:

“I think she likes it. She asked me if I’d make her wedding dress,” he said and smiled.
