I’ll admit it. I’m a sucker for United Way ads. This one was posted today by the United Way of Central Minnesota, profiling the Arise program, in which adult mentors work with children with disabilities.
It’s a good antidote to the notion that we’re a people increasingly at war with ourselves.

A son of Massachusetts, he was a news editor 1992-1998, created the MPR News regional website in 1999, invented the popular Select A Candidate, started several blogs, and every day lamented that his Minnesota Fantasy Legislature project never caught on.
