The Week-in-Review Quiz

quiz_04102008.jpg

There was the faint rumble of revolution from last week’s quiz (or maybe it was because Jesse Ventura is back from Mexico). The people cry out for the clever graphic. And News Quiz is people-powered.

Here, then, is this week’s quiz.

For the record, we’ve never been more confident in your ability to do well on it. Don’t let us down; we’re all depending on you.

  • bsimon

7/15. I just read the one on the flame, but still got it wrong.

  • Got pwned this week by the Quiz.

  • Nick

    Expletive. EXPLETIVE!

    5/15.

Next week, Bob! You just wait and see!

  • Bob Collins

Five of 15. Look at the graphic! Coffee, Connecticut, a police dog, a mountain biker. There’s four right there! C’mon! It’s like getting 200 points just for signing your name on the SATs. (g)

OK, well, not really. It’s hard. The Quiz has a mean streak to it. Like those mechanical bulls in Texas bars. Or the old man with the slacks hiked up to his chest who yells at the kids to get off his lawn.

Someone’s gotta step forward and knock The Quiz down a peg before it gets too powerful.

  • Babs

I always do better the second time. 13/15. I mean in nursing school we got two chances to “master” the tests.

What are the rules here on the Cut? Are we graded on a curve?

  • c

8 out of 15 and I was really busy this week and couldn’t read much…(but of course still had time to make a few snide comments) ; )

Hey Byerlys should be pushing the paper!!! My son got that one right I was going to say 1 of 6 get paper over plastic. I thought that the picture of the biker (pedal that is) was going to be about doping pedalers.

  • Mary

6 out of 15, worst ever!

  • ASH

WOW, that was bad! 6/15…. better start taking notes throughout the week.

What are you doing to us Bob? You do realize my confidence is now shot and I’ll probably end up doing some real ego-boosting activity today to feel somewhat intelligent again 😉

  • Bob Collins

It was the health care workers able to have sex with former clients question that’s throwing everybody off, right?

  • minn whaler

    I guess I just don’t test well..

    got 15/15/ second time grin

but first time..bombed bigtime and the really

sad part is I read most of the stories that I made incorrect choices on.

Could we have an essay test so we could just state what the story means to us and effects our daily lives..

this facts crap… well reminds me a history teacher I had in 7th grade. She pulled the most obscure fact out of each papgraph of a chapter, often not even discussed in class. Like John Adams third cousin twice removed was:

Seriously, love this…Interactive week in review.

    Oh and bob…

can’t think of a health care provider, alternative or other that would even be tempting…

“Five of 15. Look at the graphic! Coffee, Connecticut, a police dog, a mountain biker. There’s four right there! C’mon! It’s like getting 200 points just for signing your name on the SATs.”

I’m not a huge fan of the graphic, as I’m not about to start getting correct answers because the test-giver feels compelled to help me GUESS the answers.

Really, for all I know, those four giveaways were four of the five I got right!

And your police dog picture looks like a bear. I thought Pawlenty vetoed a police-bear increase.

  • brian

    10/15

I didn’t notice the hawiian airline planes in the graphic.

I think bears could be the answer to all of our crime problems. I sure wouldn’t break the law if there were police bears. Yet another issue that Tim Pawlenty is on the wrong side of.
