Rubio finished second to business mogul Donald Trump in Saturday's South Carolina primary.

After Nevada, focus will quickly shift to March 1 states. Minnesota is clustered with several southern states holding Super Tuesday voting and so far hasn't received much personal attention from the Republican candidates.

Rubio was in Minnesota briefly last month, and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz rallied hundreds in St. Paul in December.

On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders have both made recent trips to Minnesota and are airing hundreds of thousands of dollars in TV ads.

UPDATE:

The Rubio campaign says the rally will be at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Minneapolis at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
