Daily Digest: TGIF edition

Good morning. It's Friday after a very long week, especially in the city of Minneapolis. Let's take a look at a few items in the news.

1. Protesters spent another night outside of a police station in north Minneapolis. Police Chief Janeé Harteau says people she believes were out-of-town anarchists threw Molotov cocktails and took shots at police officers early Thursday morning. Meanwhile the head of the city's police union says leaders never should have allowed protesters to camp outside the 4th Precinct police headquarters.

2. UnitedHealth Group is losing money on Affordable Care Act health exchanges and may pull out. (MPR News)

3. The U.S. House voted to require extra checking of refugees from Syria before they're allowed in the country. President Obama has threatened a veto. Minnesota Democrats Tim Walz, Collin Peterson and Rick Nolan voted with the Republican majority for the bill.  (NPR)

4. Hillary Clinton laid out a plan for countering ISIS. She takes a tougher line than Obama. (CNN)

5. Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders was talking about his definition of Democratic Socialism. (Politico)

6. And finally, it turns out more Mexicans are leaving the U.S. than coming in. (New York Times)
