Hillary Clinton to raise money for Dayton

Hillary Clinton is holding a fundraiser for Gov. Mark Dayton next Thursday in St. Paul.

Clinton has scheduled an event for DFLer Dayton’s reelection campaign at the St. Paul RiverCentre on Thursday evening. Donors are being asked to give between $150 to $2,500 to attend the event.

Donors also have the chance to attend a private reception and have their photos taken with Clinton. The funds from those donations will benefit the DFL Party.

Clinton, a former Secretary of State under President Obama, served in the U.S. Senate with Dayton. She is considered the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination for president in 2016.

First lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to campaign for Dayton and Sen. Al Franken in Minneapolis on Tuesday.

Former President Bill Clinton held a get out the vote event for Democrats earlier this month. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie held events for Republican Jeff Johnson’s campaign for governor and the Minnesota Republican Party.
