MPR News to host pre-primary gubernatorial forum
MPR News will host a gubernatorial forum later this month featuring the four major Republican candidates for governor. The debate will be held in studio on July 30 at noon and will air live on the radio and online.
The forum will feature Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson, Scott Honour, state Rep. Kurt Zellers , R-Maple Grove, and former state Rep. Marty Seifert. MPR News Political Editor Mike Mulcahy will host the forum.
The four candidates are vying to win the GOP primary on Aug. 12.
The winner will challenge DFL Gov. Mark Dayton and Independence Party candidate Hannah Nicollet in November.
