Some Sunday showers; temps rebound this week

It won't be raining all of the time this Sunday, but Minnesota will have showers at times and some periods of drizzle too.

Northeastern Minnesota could also see a thunderstorm.

Scattered showers are possible on Monday, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.

Minnesota will probably some scattered showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday, then mostly dry weather on Wednesday and Thursday.

Saturday rain set a record

The Saturday rainfall total of 1.47 inches at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport set a new rainfall record for May 20:

Here are some additional Saturday rainfall totals: Mankato 1.29 inches, St. Cloud 1.37 inches, and Duluth .64 inch.

Temps will rebound

Our average high this time of year is 71 degrees in the Twin Cities metro area.

Our Sunday will be very cool, with highs mostly in the upper 40s in northern Minnesota and lower 50s in central and southern Minnesota.

Highs in the 60s return to central and southern Minnesota on Monday:

Twin Cities highs will dip to around 60 on Tuesday, then rebound to about 67 Wednesday, 70 Thursday and around 74 on Friday.
