MPR’s Climate Cast moves to Thursday PM on All Things Considered

Some good news from the MPR Weather Lab today.

Starting tomorrow MPR's Climate Cast moves to Thursday afternoon during All Things Considered. The segment airs twice on Thursdays; at 3:18 pm and 6:20 pm.

The time shift brings a much larger 'afternoon drive' audience to Climate Cast. That means many more people will hear the latest breaking climate science, news and solutions each week. You can still catch Climate Cast via podcast here.

'Beyond extreme' Arctic warmth

This week we talk about the incredible Arctic warmth this winter that has stunned climate scientists. Many are at a loss to explain why this winter has been as much as 30 degrees warmer than average in the Arctic. Arctic Sea ice has been running at all time record lows for winter.

Thursday I'll talk with Jason Samenow from The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang, and Mark Serreze from NOAA's National Snow and Ice Data Center about the weird Arctic weather this winter.

Join us Thursday at 3:18 pm and again at 6:20 pm for Climate Cast on MPR News.
