Thunderstorms could develop over Minnesota later this afternoon and evening, and periods of thunderstorms are likely overnight and on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service North American Mesoscale forecast model shows the scattered thunderstorms later today, becoming more numerous tonight:
The last few frames of the radar loop show that the thunderstorm chances on Tuesday are highest near the stationary front over southern Minnesota.
