It will be a warm and steamy afternoon and evening over much of Minnesota.

Some thunderstorms are possible over central and northern Minnesota early this afternoon, then most of Minnesota has a chance of thunderstorms from late afternoon into this evening.

A cold front will move eastward from South Dakota later this afternoon, igniting additional thunderstorms.

It will feel almost tropical this afternoon. Heavy rainfall amounts will be possible this afternoon and evening over parts of Minnesota.

It would be good to stay sky aware this afternoon and evening, and make sure that you have a way to receive weather warnings.
