Severe thunderstorms are possible

Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening over central and southern Minnesota and much of Wisconsin.

The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch, valid until 9 p.m., for much of western and northern Wisconsin:

There is also a severe thunderstorm watch, valid until 9 p.m., that includes Scott and Dakota counties in the southern portion of the Twin Cities metro area. The severe thunderstorm watch also includes much of southern Minnesota and southwestern Wisconsin:
