Chance evening thunderstorms; mild on Thursday
Scattered thunderstorms will move across many parts of Minnesota late this Wednesday afternoon and this evening, and an isolated severe thunderstorm is possible.
The Storm Prediction Center of the National Weather Service shows a slight risk of severe thunderstorms through this evening over much of southern Minnesota, including portions of the Twin Cities metro area.
The highest risk of severe weather this evening and tonight will be from eastern Iowa to far southern Wisconsin, northern Illinois and northern Indiana. Those areas could see multiple tornadoes and widespread damaging winds and hail. A moderate risk of severe weather is shown for those areas:
