Warmer southern MN Sunday, snow northeast

The winds of Saturday were impressive!  A gust of 49 mph was measured at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 459 am, and there were some higher gusts in the metro area.  Holman Field in St. Paul reported a gust of 52 miles per hour at 709 am, and Flying Cloud airport in Eden Prairie clocked a gust of 51 mph at 432 am. Much nicer on Sunday 

Sunday will be much less windy, and high temps will be much warmer than Saturday over central and southern sections of the state:

Temperature will be cool over northeastern  Minnesota, with some periods of snow.

The Duluth office of the National Weather Service indicates where the heaviest snow is expected:

The area where 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected in northeastern Minnesota is in a winter weather advisory from 4am to 4pm Sunday.
