Bright Friday, breezy and warm Saturday
A cold front is moving through the Twin Cities this Thursday evening, accompanied by some scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Our Friday will be mostly sunny, but cooler and less humid. Much of Minnesota will see 30s early Friday morning, and some areas of frost are possible. Temperatures rebound into the 60s over southern Minnesota Friday afternoon, with mostly 50s in the north:
Highs near the shore of Lake Superior may top out in the upper 40s.

Warm summer?
The temperature outlook for the June through August time period was released today by the National Weather Service. It shows a tendency for above normal temperatures over the contiguous 48 states and Alaska:
Although there will always be some cool days in any three month period, the average temperature for the period shows a tendency to be warmer than normal.
