Warm and breezy Tuesday, wet Wednesday
I saw a lot of smiling faces during my travels around town this afternoon. It probably had something to do with the sunshine and warm temps!
Our sunset is at 7:36 pm this time of year, so people stuck indoors during the day at least have some time after work to enjoy outdoor activities. I'm noticing a lot of people taking walks in my neighborhood this evening. Dogs seem to enjoy daylight saving time too!

Tuesday will be breezy, and a few degrees warmer than today:

We expect clouds to increase by late afternoon over eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. If the clouds are delayed, highs could be a few degrees warmer. Western Minnesota could see some late day showers.
Wet Tuesday night and Wednesday
An approaching low pressure system will give us periods of rain Tuesday night and Wednesday:

Highs on Wednesday will be cooler than Tuesday's highs, but still a bit above normal for much of Minnesota:
Much cooler air will sweep over our area on Thursday, and we could see a mix of rain and snow showers:
By Friday, highs will be below normal with chilly northwesterly winds. Temperatures this coming weekend are expected to be a bit below normal, but winds taper off.
Cold air shifts east
The 8 to 14 day outlook from the Climate Prediction Center of the National Weather Service shows the highest probability of abnormally cold weather will be over the eastern states:
The outlook shows a tendency for normal temps or a slight tendency for above normal temps over Minnesota.
