Showers at times through Saturday night, some snow north

This Easter weekend will be wintery over parts of northern Minnesota. Here is a summary from the Duluth office of the National Weather Service:

Some wet snow will accumulate over much of northeastern Minnesota, with the heaviest amounts near Lake Superior. Central Minnesota could see some minor accumulation.

In the Twin Cities, we will see some periods of rain tonight through Saturday night, possibly mixing with some flakes late Saturday night into very early Sunday morning. This is all due to a low pressure system tracking through the upper Midwest:

Highs Saturday will be in the 40s over southern Minnesota, with 30s to the north:

Highs Sunday will be mostly in the 40s statewide:

We might even touch 50 in the Twin Cities on Sunday, if the early morning clouds move out soon enough.

Looking ahead, we should top 50 on Monday and Tuesday:

On Wednesday you can expect occasional showers, and we could see a few thunderstorms.
