Our December 31st high temperature was only 20 degrees in the Twin Cities, and the low was 7 degrees. It was our coldest day of the month, and the chilly readings prevented us from finishing with the second warmest December in Twin Cities history. This December is likely to end up being the third warmest on record, which is still impressive!

Saturday will be bright and mild for much of the region:
High temperatures could dip slightly on Sunday:
It will be a nice start to 2016.
As we close the book on 2015, we should mention that the Minnesota State Climatology Office compiled a list of the top five Minnesota weather events of 2015. The second warmest Autumn in Minnesota history took top honors, and the complete list can be found at Top Five .
