Hottest day of 2015: Heat advisory until 9 p.m.
Our well advertised blast of late summer heat has finally arrived.
The thermometer hit 94 degrees at MSP Airport at 3:09 p.m. today. That's the hottest air temperature recorded so far in 2015. Throw in a dew point of 70 degrees and the heat index hit 100 degrees.
A heat advisory is in effect for the Twin Cities until 9 p.m. tonight.

Today is the third day at or above 90 degrees this year at MSP Airport. The Twin Cities averages 11 days at or above 90 each summer.
Many Minnesota locations are feeling the hottest day of the year. Expect another over 90-degree day and more heat advisories possible tomorrow.
